In-depth Communication between Alliance and Parks: Inner-Mongolia Field Trip

International Innovation Parks Alliance (IIPA) aims to provide and establish world-class service platform for different innovation parks from all around the world, and with the help of multi-industrial consultation network that IIPA has, IIPA could help different parks to diagnose and know the needs of different parks. We assist innovation parks in transformation process by helping them to adjust their strategic positioning, market positioning, function positioning and image positioning. We also help our fellwo members to integrate resources including operational resource, channel resource and human resource. We aim to help Parks to transform so as to enhance their soft power, this can attract more enterprise to station at the Park and increase the government’s tax revenue.
Recently, IIPA has visited Inner Mongolia companied by the Hong Kong Wenweipo International Public Relations Consultant, we have visited cities including Hohhot, Ordos and Ulanqab in order to investigate the needs of innovation parks in these areas. This field trip has successfully collected 27 needs from all innovation parks from the above mentioned cities, below are the key projects to be addressed:
1 - Ulanqab Jining Airport to be upgraded to Ulanqab Jining International Airport
2 - Overall planning consultation for Ulanqab Jining Airport Logisitcs Park in order to support the airport’s huge cargo flow
3 - Assist Jining Xianghejushang Home Furniture Expo Centre in introducing international property management company
4 - Enhance the value-added service platform on logistic big data for Wanyi Logistic Park, and resources sharing with Logistic Parks from other province
5 -International Planning Consultation for Ordos Kongkang Innovation Park
Apart from that, most of the innovation parks reflected that they are in huge demand of talent, they hoped that IIPA could use its network to invite suitable talent to the innovation parks. Parks and businesses like Ordos Kongkang Innovation Park (total investment of 15 billion yuan), Wanyi Logistic Park (owner of a value-added service platform on logistic big data), Jinyu Biological Technology Park (Jinyu Group is in Chinese Top 500 Enterprises) and Tetra Pak (one of the largest packaging company in the world) are hoping that IIPA’s human resource consultant Mclaren Consultancy could provide them with support by making use of Hong Kong’s advantage in talent acquisition, and help them to introduce international management talents.
The idea of IIPA is supported by the Inner Mongolian Government, Ta Kung Pao has reported our work done previously.
We have launched an official meeting with government officials led by the Vice Mayor of Ulanqab Mr. Wang Xinyu, and various innovation park’s owners, with over 20 people joining the meeting. Owners of different parks have introduced the characteristics and needs of their parks, their needs can be characterized into acquiring international talents, introducing quality projects, connecting with international innovation parks, consulting experts, etc. Vice Mayor Mr. Wang has encouraged innovation parks to join IIPA in order to match their needs to the resources that IIPA owned.
We have visited Jining International Leather City, Jining Ancient City and Jining Xianghehushang Home Furniture Expo Center. The Jining Xianghehushang Home Furniture Expo Centre is a distribution center consisting of furniture, construction materials, order-customized designs, retail, logistics and service after sales. The 83,000 sq.m center has operated since 2016. The main category of products includes solid wood furniture, European furniture, slab furniture, office furniture, etc. By the end of 2017, the total sales of center has reached 22 million yuan. The Park would now like to invite international property management company to enhance the management of the distribution center.
Wanyi Logistic Park has successfully developed 12666 Converged Service Platform, the platform make use of the logistic big data to provide logistic information sharing, logistic recruitment service and act as a financial service platform. The Park is now hoping to advance the cooperation with innovation parks from other provinces so as to share information and resources, and wishing to recruit international management talent.
Jining Airport is confirmed with its expansion plan, the airport will be upgraded to become an International Airport. Moreover, Jining Airport will promote and expand its cargo service.
Linkong Innovation Park will provide support to the upgrade and transformation of Jining Airport. We will recommend experts with relevant experiences in building international airport to be in charge of the entire project.
Currently Linkong Innovation Park has large amount of land resources to be planned and developed.
The total investment of Ordos Kongkang Innovation Park is estimated to be 15 billion yuan. Although the Park has Ordos International Airport as one of its physical supporting facilities, the Park is not bounded by its strategic positioning as a logistic service provider. The Park emphasis on quality development, and has developed in various aspect for example the Big Data Industry. The Park hopes that we can help them to diagnose all possibilities in an all-rounded manner, consult professionals from different industries, in order to assist the Park in high quality development.

Under the leadership of Mr. He Wei, Deputy Director of Economic Development Zone of Hohhot, we have visited and inspected the Economic Development Zone of Hohhot.
Tetra Pak is one of the largest packaging companies in the world, the well-known Chinese brand Mengniu Dairy is one of their customers. Tetra Pak reflected their needs in recruitment and retaining talents in packaging industry, they have also agreed to cooperate with Mclaren Consultancy Limited and Universities in Hong Kong to co-develop an electronic learning app, and this may help them to enhance their efficiency in technical training of their employees.
After that, under the leadership of Mr. Wang Xiaomeng, Chief Operation Officer of Jinyu Biological Technology Park, we visited the Park. Jinyu Biological Technology Park wished to recruit biotechnology enterprises and talents to station in the Park. At current stage the Park’s main recruitment channel is campus recruitment, and they also work closely with medical and healthcare companies like Siemens to share their human resources. They have reflected their needs to recruit biomedical talents from Hong Kong. After the completion of the Park on 18 October, the Park is interested in holding events to attract talents, they would also want Mclaren Consultancy Limited the provide assistant with their experience in recruitment job for top tier healthcare companies like Pfizer and Merck Group.
Aiyi Electronic Material Limited expressed their interest in interacting with International R&D experts in providing technological suggestions. Moreover, they are now actively developing gas compressor that are used in electronic car park lots. They are also interested to expand their business to Hong Kong market. They know that we have good connections with land developers and architectural companies in Hong Kong, Aiyi’s CEO wishes to make use of our network to expand their business to Hong Kong.
In this visit, we have conducted in-depth communication with 3 different cities of Inner Mongolia. We have also visited various innovation parks, aiming to know more about their needs. This visit has successfully collected 27 needs from innovation parks, we will be using our own network and resources to help the parks in advancing their businesses.
