Located in the Ordos Airport Logistics Park, in 2014, the Ordos Municipal People's Government and Tianjin Port Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement, and the two sides cooperated to build an inland port in Ordos. According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in the construction and operation of inland ports, port services, logistics and transportation. To fully display their respective resource advantages, port advantages, location advantages, and policy advantages to create a safe and efficient inland port in the northwest region, to promote the development of the Ordos logistics industry, and to promote the development of export-oriented economy such as direct oversea goods export. Currently, Tianjin Port Group has successively built five regional marketing centers and 25 dry ports in the hinterland. In 2016, Tianjin Port completed the total operation capacity of the dry port of 330,000 TEUs and completed the container sea-rail combined transport volume of 320,000 TEUs, which increased by 3.1% and 3.2% respectively compared with 2015, ranking the forefront of the national coastal ports.
